The Community Foundation for Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole is a charitable trust and was founded in 2000. It is managed by a board of Trustees who represent the Voluntary, Statutory and Business sectors across Dorset. It was formed to support community initiatives across the whole County of Dorset, including the unitary authorities of Bournemouth and Poole (hence the long name!) 

From its beginnings, the Community Foundation for Bournemouth, Dorset and Poole has continued to grow and develop. It is a member of the Community Foundation Network and accredited to provide advisory services to clients of Coutts & Co.

We are currently administering the Government's Grassroots Grants programmes for Bournemouth, Dorset, and Poole. We also manage funds from Comic Relief, Burning Issues and local business Meggitt PLC as well as smaller funds.

We liaise with other organisations regarding administration of other small grants programmes .We are working with the local corporate sector to develop further support for local good causes.
