Harbour Challenge is a charity providing sailing tuition based on Brownsea Island. It has received £13,100 from the Community Foundation to fund new boats and project costs to provide sailing and kayaking courses to children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds locally. Funding from the Community Foundation's Local Network Fund has allowed over 100 young people to benefit from this project last year. These are all young people who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to access sailing and gain recognised qualifications in this sport.
